Community Chapter: Literacy Advocate

My mother and grandmother and daughter have all been teachers. I have always volunteered for literacy programs in my community and truly enjoy those moments spent with young minds.

  I served as Asst Commissioner for Inter-governmental Affairs with Chicago Dept of Aviation. Joined the team to overhaul planning and development functions in anticipation of multi-billion dollar terminal program. I also occasionally provided hands-on air traffic control.

Community Chapter: Historic Preservation and Nature Conservancy

1890 Log Cabin on Bluff of Ol’ St Joe. One of the oldest structures in Berrien County, just down from the original County courthouse at the juncture of Shaker Farm Rd and Bluff St. My Covid Sabbatical has been spent restoring and upgrading the interior, as well as constructing a series of terraces to hold up the Bluff. Louis and I have planted at least two dozen trees and shrubs and native wildflowers to save the Bluff by creating a Rain Garden.
