Emergency Preparedness Exercises at O’Hare International Airport - Summer 2019

As Assistant Commissioner for Intergovernmental Affairs, I was so proud of all of our first responders and aviation professionals who took part in the triennial exercises at O’Hare. Safety is no accident and as an OSHA 30 certified professional I truly was amazed at the level of thought and training our community put into this drill.

Community Chapter: Historic Preservation and Nature Conservancy

1890 Log Cabin on Bluff of Ol’ St Joe. One of the oldest structures in Berrien County, just down from the original County courthouse at the juncture of Shaker Farm Rd and Bluff St. My Covid Sabbatical has been spent restoring and upgrading the interior, as well as constructing a series of terraces to hold up the Bluff. Louis and I have planted at least two dozen trees and shrubs and native wildflowers to save the Bluff by creating a Rain Garden.
