Mayor Emanuel Announces Appointments to City of Chicago Boards and Commission
Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced his appointments to five boards and commissions in the City today. They include the Community Development Commission, Affirmative Action Advisory Board, Board of Health, Chicago Community Land Trust Board and Low Income Housing Trust Fund Board. These appointees represent a diverse group of community and business leaders from across the city.
“Throughout their careers, these individuals have shown a deep dedication to serving communities across Chicago,” said Mayor Emanuel. “My administration is committed to providing people in every neighborhood with the highest quality and most effective services. I'm confident these appointees will help the City achieve its goals."
Appointed to the Affirmative Action Advisory Board are:
- Rajiv Khanna, Market Contracting Services, Partner
- Arabel Alva Rosales, AAR & Associates, LTD, President
- Anne “Nancy” M. Kiernan, FCL Builders, Vice President of Business Development
- Hedy M. Ratner, Women’s Business Development Center, Founder and Co-President
- Appointed to the Board of Health is:
- Dr. Horace E. Smith, Children’s Memorial Hospital, Comprehensive Sickle Cell/Thalassemia Program, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Director and Apostolic Faith Church, Pastor
