I fought long and hard to create this essential connectivity to the lakefront park system for the public housing residents of the North Kenwood/Oakland neighborhood. It is beautiful and really brings people to the natural beauty in this urban environment.

Community Chapter: Historic Preservation and Nature Conservancy

1890 Log Cabin on Bluff of Ol’ St Joe. One of the oldest structures in Berrien County, just down from the original County courthouse at the juncture of Shaker Farm Rd and Bluff St. My Covid Sabbatical has been spent restoring and upgrading the interior, as well as constructing a series of terraces to hold up the Bluff. Louis and I have planted at least two dozen trees and shrubs and native wildflowers to save the Bluff by creating a Rain Garden.
