1890 Log Cabin on Bluff of Ol’ St Joe. One of the oldest structures in Berrien County, just down from the original County courthouse at the juncture of Shaker Farm Rd and Bluff St. My Covid Sabbatical has been spent restoring and upgrading the interior, as well as constructing a series of terraces to hold up the Bluff. Louis and I have planted at least two dozen trees and shrubs and native wildflowers to save the Bluff by creating a Rain Garden.

We’ve worked together at two different Construction Management firms and we count on each other for smooth sailing! Teamwork is the best work environment there is. Never could figure out who was mentoring who! Pretty sure I did impart the art of a good martini though 🙂

Die Hard Cub Fans : Our Mothers Were Karen and I make a point of making to a game every year. Some quiet traditions, the ones you just do, that are the absolute best. Dad and his Southside Girls. Often a family divided as to Cubs vs Sox, we have fully embraced all Chicago baseball has to offer! Yep - that’s youngest daughter Blanche hawking soda in the upper decks.

Mom was a Marine drill sergeant of aerial artillery in WWII And she met and married this super handsome Navy man running the Veterans Administration in Baltimore, MD. As a child I learned how to bounce a dime on my freshly made bed and that you can’t leave any “holidays” if you’re on KP duty from my Dad.

Nancy comes to us from FCL Builders, where she served as vice president of business development. This role allowed her to strengthen relationships with private sector Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) private owners, developers and property management firms.

My family truly is a work of art; Kellen, Bridget, Alice and Blanche. They are poets, songwriters, guitarists, artists, singers, educators of children, and providers of care, pranksters, advocates, players and athletes. They are joys.
